State-of-the-Art in-house endoscopy suite
Specializing in the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases, Board-certified physicians Dr. Ranvir Singh, Dr. Stephen Rashbaum, Dr. Nitin J. Parikh, Dr. Ruth Montalvo, Dr. Jae Kim, or Dr. Long B. Nguyen, offer a full range of services to diagnose, treat, and manage digestive disorders. The in-house endoscopy suite at Digestive Care Physicians is a certified facility that has achieved the highest level of accreditation by the Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The nursing staff is A.C.L.S. certified and committed to the safety of all patients by providing the highest level of quality care for patients before, during, and after examinations or testing.
The equipment used in the endoscopy suite utilizes state-of-the-art optics and superior visualization systems that allow for a rapid, accurate, and painless examination of the entire digestive tract including high-definition Endoscopes, Digital Imaging, Computer Generated Reports and Flat-Screen Monitors. This allows our physicians to detect, sample and remove abnormal tissues, even small and hard to find flat or slightly raised polyps.
Preventive and Diagnostic Procedures
Most diagnostic or therapeutic Gastrointestinal procedures are “minimally invasive” and take, on average, less than an hour to perform. General Anesthesia and a hospital stay are not required; however, mild sedatives and a brief recovery is needed for patient safety and comfort.
If you suffer from Upper or Lower Abdominal Pain, Nausea, Vomiting, Bloating, Constipation, Diarrhea, constant Heartburn, or trouble swallowing we can help. According to Dr. Ranvir Singh, Dr. Stephen Rashbaum, Dr. Nitin J. Parikh, Dr. Ruth Montalvo, Dr. Jae Kim, and Dr. Long Nguyen, “We believe both patients and doctors, working together create an atmosphere for ongoing and long-lasting healthy outcomes in our patient’s lives.” To learn more about a specific procedure click on a link below.
Did You Know?
Oftentimes patients might feel scared or embarrassed to get a Colon Cancer check due to privacy and sensitivity with the screened area, but keep in mind that our physicians have done colonoscopies and flexible sigmoidoscopies more times than they can probably count and are highly skilled in executing those procedures. The consequences of delaying a procedure or not getting one at all can be deadly. If you are over age 50 it is time to schedule your screening colonoscopy now! Beginning at 50, both men and women are at average risk for developing Colorectal Cancer (CRC).
- Colorectal Cancer (CRC) occurs when a growth on the lining of the colon or rectum has become malignant, or cancerous. Colorectal Cancer can be cured, especially when detected early.
- Colorectal Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States.
- Regular screenings help prevent this disease by finding precancerous polyps so they can be removed before they turn into cancer.
